Halo pöytävalo on miellyttävä iltavalo, joka on johdottomana ja keveytensä vuoksi helppo kuljettaa huoneesta toiseen ja ottaa mukaan vaikka mökille tai asuntovaunuun. Halo antaa pehmeän yleisvalon, mutta sitä voi käyttää myös kohdevalona lukemiseen tai neulomiseen. Halon miellyttävän lempeän sävyinen valo on säädettävissä kolmeen eri voimakkuuteen ja valo rauhoittaa valmistautumaan yöunille. Olen tyytyväinen Halo pöytävalon hankintaan.

Ostin tämän yöpöytälampuksi, koska aiempi johdollinen valaisin päästi runsaasti EMF-säteilyä (elektro-magneettiset taajuudet). Tämä mitatusti ei tee sitä, mikä on hieno juttu. Se johtuu siitä, että valaisin on ladattava eikä jatkuvasti AC-virtaan kytketty. Valaisimen punaiseen painottuva spektri on omiaan yöpöytävaloksi. Tällä ei tärvele uniaan. Ollakseen täydellinen tulisi valaisimessa olla vaihdettava akku. Nythän se on "kertakäyttöinen", mutta toivon akulta useiden vuosien elinkaarta. Joka tapauksessa tyytyväinen ostokseen.

Näppärän kokoinen, helppo käyttää ja siirtää haluuttun kohtaan jossa tarvitsee kohdevaloa.
Lamppu on yöpöydälläni, siitä se valaisee makuuhuonettamme riittävästi, eikä häiritse aivojamme kohti unta! Kantelen sitä välillä kädessäni näyttääkseni itselleni valoa erityisesti silloin, kun sinivaloa bloggaavat lasini eivät ole esim yöllä silmilläni. Valon voimakkuuden 3 säätöä on tosi hyvä lisä.
Ladattavuus on hieno ominaisuus, voi viedä mukana minne vain.

What is blue light?
Blue light refers to light with a wavelength of approximately 400–500 nanometers. It is part of the visible light spectrum and a component of sunlight. Blue light is also present in artificial sources such as LED lights, digital devices, and display screens. Blue light has both benefits and drawbacks.
Benefits of natural blue light from the sun
- Alertness and wakefulness: Blue light can improve alertness and concentration. For example, it has been used in workplaces to increase productivity.
- Mood enhancement: Blue light has positive effects on mood improvement and alleviating seasonal affective disorder, especially during the winter months.
- Biological rhythm: Blue light affects the body's internal clock and can help regulate sleep patterns, especially during the day.
Disadvantages of artificial blue light:
1. Sleep difficulties
- Disruption of melatonin production: Blue light inhibits the production of melatonin, a hormone that regulates sleep patterns. Exposure to blue light late in the evening or at night can make it difficult to fall asleep and reduce sleep quality. This can lead to insomnia and fatigue the following day.
- Disruption of the internal clock: Prolonged exposure to blue light can disrupt the body's internal clock, which can cause problems with sleep and wakefulness.
2. Eye damage
- Retinal damage: Blue light, particularly its shorter wavelengths (for example, from LED lights and display screens), can cause retinal damage. Long-term exposure can lead to the development of "blue light ischemia," which can increase the risk of eye diseases such as cataracts or macular degeneration.
- Digital eye strain: Prolonged viewing of screens can lead to digital eye strain, which includes symptoms such as eye fatigue, dryness, redness, and discomfort. This can be caused by glare from blue light.
3. Headaches
- Migraine: For some individuals, intense blue light can trigger migraine attacks or cause headaches. This can be due to light interference caused by blue light or tension in the eyes.
- Stress and anxiety: Excessive exposure to blue light can lead to increased stress and anxiety, which in turn can increase the incidence of headaches.
4. Impact on mood
- Behavioral symptoms: While blue light can have positive effects on mood during the day, excessive exposure in the evenings can cause mood swings and increase anxiety or depression. This can be due to reduced sleep quality and its impact on daily well-being.
5. Skin symptoms
- Skin inflammation: Newer studies suggest that blue light can affect the skin and cause inflammatory reactions, which can lead to rashes or the worsening of acne.
Day or evening glasses?
If you want to take optimal care of your well-being and protect against blue light, we definitely recommend choosing both day and evening glasses.
For blue light protection purposes, an orange lens used during the day might be a bit too effective as a blue light blocker. Therefore, for daytime use, we recommend a yellow lens, which prevents 84% of all harmful blue light.
If, on the other hand, the most important reason for using blue light glasses is to improve sleep quality and optimize your circadian rhythm, then we recommend an orange lens for evening use. The orange lens blocks 97% of all harmful blue light and significantly helps the body achieve better and higher quality sleep.
If you only want to start with one pair of glasses and need blue light protection both during the day and in the evening, then we recommend choosing day glasses with yellow lenses. You can use the glasses from morning to evening, and as a shift worker, also during night shifts. Although the blue light protective effect of the yellow lens for evening use is not as effective as that of the orange lens, the high-quality 84% blue light protection of day glasses in the evening is still a significant aid towards better sleep.
For hobbies, as an accessory, while driving, for sunglasses, and in other activities, you can use yellow and orange lenses entirely according to your own preferences! Through both lenses, the world looks wonderfully bright and clear! And a small word of warning: you might get hooked on the view produced by these lenses and no longer feel like looking at grey landscapes!
Eyeglasses and blue light
I wear prescription glasses, how can I protect my eyes from the harmful effects of blue light?
If you wear prescription glasses, we recommend our clip-on lenses that can be easily attached over your glasses. All our clip-on lenses fit amazingly well over various models of glasses.

Ordering, delivery and payments
We always ship orders from our warehouse within 1-3 business days. Posti usually takes 2-4 days for delivery. If your order is delayed, please contact us at info@northray.fi and we can check the status of your shipment together.
- Most glasses are delivered directly to your mailbox by Posti.
- If your order includes Ilmari glasses, reading lights, or navigation lights, your products will be delivered to the nearest Posti pickup point.
- Posti's delivery time is usually 1-4 business days. Delivery fee for all orders is €4.90.
- Do I automatically receive an order confirmation? Yes, it will be sent via email.
- What payment methods do you offer? Payment methods include online banking, credit cards, installment payment, Klarna, and PayPal, all securely processed through Paytrail.
Warranty
All our products come with a 12-month warranty. If your product breaks within this period without external cause, we will repair or replace it. The warranty covers manufacturing defects, but not normal wear and tear or damage caused by improper use or care.
Exchanges and Returns

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. That's why you can try our products at your leisure for 30 days. If the products do not meet your expectations, we offer one free return or exchange.
Products to be returned or exchanged must be:
- Stain-free and clean, so they can be reused.
- Accompanied by original storage pouches, cleaning cloths, and, for light products, the retail packaging and charging cable.
Please note that we reuse products returned by customers as display glasses at trade fairs, retailers, and in corporate sales. For this reason, the products must be in good condition and clean. If returned blue light glasses require cleaning, we will charge a cleaning fee of 14.90 euros.
How to proceed with a return or exchange:
If you wish to exchange or return a product, please send us a message at info@northray.fi. Our customer service will provide you with the necessary instructions and make the process as smooth as possible.
Refunds:
Once your return arrives, we will process it as soon as possible. We will refund the payment to the payment method you used for the original purchase. According to our payment processor, refunds take 1–5 business days.
